bhadra suklastami tithi, visakha naksatra tathi,

kanyara canda-mukha dekhi, raja hoila maha-sukhi,

dana dei brahmana sakale

nana dravya haste kori, nagarera joto nari,

aila sabhe kirtika mandire

aneka punyera phale, daiva hoila anukule,

e heno balika mile tore

modera mane heno loy, eho to manush noy,

kon chale keba janamila

ghanasyama dasa koy, na koriho samshoy,

krsna priya sadaya hoila

"On the eight day of the Bhadra Month, during the Vishakha constellation, Srimati took birth. Loud and eager sounds of 'Jay Radhe! Sri Radhe! rang in each home of Vrishabhanupura, as the midday sun shone on the baby girl. Seeing the moon-like face of the baby-girl, the king (Vrishabhanu) was in great ecstasy and gave charity to all the brahmins in town. Taking different presents in their hands, all the village women came to Mother Kirtida's home, (saying:)"As a result of great pious acts, Fate has favored you and given you such a daughter. We think to ourselves that she cannot be an ordinary human being -who could have taken birth in this way (human disguise)?" Ghanashyam Das sings:"Do not doubt - Krishnapriya (Lord Krishna's consort) has become kind upon you all!"
